In this series, I reinterpret the traditional Russian matryoshka through abstraction. Stripping away folk patterns, I use the doll’s form as a canvas for emotion, rhythm, and inner experience.

Each surface is filled with flowing lines, bold colors, and unexpected geometry. The matryoshka becomes a reflection of memory, feeling, and dreamlike states. Though the silhouette stays iconic, every piece is unique.

Like the traditional nesting doll, there is a sense of unfolding — but symbolically. I invite the viewer to look inward, to discover their own meaning within each shape.

This series is about the unseen — what we carry inside but rarely express. It’s about chaos, intuition, and finding form in the formless.
